EXCLUSIVE: Chirag must accept his mistake, says Union Minister Pashupati Paras

Amid the political rivalry between Union Minister Pashupati Paras (Lok Janshakti Party) and his nephew Chirag Paswan, the former spoke to ETV Bharat's regional Editor Sachin Sharma, during which he spoke over various issues from the caste census to the attack on him in a rally in Bihar's Hajipur. On the caste census, the minister said that he is part of the NDA alliance and will abide by the decision of the alliance. Further speaking over the attack on him, Paras said although ink was thrown at him, it was only done by a few people. There was a huge crowd that was in support of him. The Pashupati Paras-led faction of the LJP has been at loggerheads with his nephew, Chirag Paswan-led faction, since the demise of Chirag's father Ram Vilas Paswan. Speaking on the rivalry, Paras said that Chirag is like his nephew and he treats him like his own son. He said that Chirag has lost his way and he should also accept his mistake and try to do something for the party and his people.
