This Odisha woman reuses waste plastic to make beautiful household decoratives

Discarded plastic waste is a big issue that we all tend to ignore, while many are ignoring the emerging green trend in the country; states like Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu are fighting against the use of all kinds of single-use plastic. Odisha resident Shailabala of Bhubaneshwar, who echoes the same sentiment, has found an unlikely alternative to plastic at her home. Shailabala along with her husband is transforming waste plastic into home decor products, which otherwise ends up in the trash. 'Reuse rather than discarding',’ with this as her mantra, Shailabala started this noble effort.
