Assassination of Iranian general Qassem Soleimani was unexpected: Former diplomat Sreenivasan

In an exclusive interview with ETV Bharat, Former Indian diplomat, TP Sreenivasan said that the assassination of the top Iranian general Qassem Soleimani was unexpected. He said that there are always war clouds over Iran-US relations after Donald Trump withdrew from the nuclear deal. Sreenivasan further said that this is an election year in the US and Trump took this action in order to project his image in a better way. He further said that this incident will not lead to major war as Iran doesn't have the strength to do that and the world is not prepared for a war of that kind.
