Barabanki (Uttar Pradesh): Simran's dream to play cricket in a boys' team has turned true. The 13-yr old from Diamond Cricket Club, Lucknow, played as a medium pace bowler in the ongoing Chaudhry Asif Ali Memorial Under-19 State Cricket Tournament at KD Singh Babu Stadium in Barabanki. The match was held between Bahraich and Diamond Cricket Club Lucknow. Simran, who drew inspiration from cricketer Jhulan Goswami, also dreams of playing for the Indian cricket team. Her coach Yousuf Sheikh is helping her to fulfil her dreams.

Himmat Singh Rathore, a former Army Commando, has proven his name as he completed a task requiring great levels of grit, perseverance and strength. Himmat's feat was monitored by a team of physical education teachers who sent all the proof to the Guinness Book of World Records to verify and add his name to the record book.
