Sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik carves sand sculpture to mark Mother's Day at Puri beach

Puri: Mother is the epitome of love and affection while Mother's Day is a celebration of honouring the mother. Mother's love is unconditional as she can go to any length to raise her wards and see them happy. God couldn't be everywhere so he created mothers. The saying shows the importance of a mother in life. Though God exists everywhere, where His impact is undermined, the position of God is done by a mother. 

Mother’s Day is a special day that honours and celebrates mothers worldwide. We will commemorate Mother’s Day on May 14. The day holds a significant place in our hearts because it gives us a chance to express our gratitude, love and appreciation for our mothers. A mother is therefore a reflection of God's love, affection and other qualities. 

Such is the greatness of a mother. Mother's Day falls on the second Sunday of May every year.  Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik carved a sculpture at Puri Beach to mark International Mother's Day. He wished Happy Mother's Day and also wrote 'We love You'.
