LNJP to start telemedicine services to deal with non-COVID diseases

Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) hospital in Delhi will soon start telemedicine services in view of the rising cases of dengue, malaria and chikungunya during the on-going monsoon season. A senior official of the hospital said telemedicine services would prove beneficial for a large number of people.

New Delhi: Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) hospital, the biggest government facility for coronavirus patients in the capital city, will soon start telemedicine services for people suffering from seasonal diseases.

According to Medical Director, LNJP, Dr Suresh Kumar, it is being planned in view of the increasing rain-related diseases amid the prevailing coronavirus situation.

The people must not come to the hospital unless and until it's necessary, he said.

"It will be started as soon as preparations are almost done," he told ETV Bharat.

Meanwhile, the cases of infectious diseases that spread during the rainy season - dengue, malaria and chikungunya are rising on a daily basis in the national capital.
