Barnala: The police have arrested all four accused in the case of murder of a policeman by kabaddi players late on Sunday night. One of the accused, who is an international Kabaddi player has been hospitalized after he was shot at by the police during his arrest. Police also claimed to have recovered a pistol and two live cartridges from the possession of the accused.
In a post on X, previously known as Twitter, Director General of Police said that Barnala Police has arrested all four accused involved in the killing of Head Constable Darshan Singh after a brief encounter in which one of the accused got injured one pistol and two live cartridges have been recovered from the accused.

“Punjab Police has arrested all perpetrators in less than 24 hrs. Punjab Police is totally committed is totally committed to make Punjab secure and safe as per vision of CM Bhagwant Mann,” the DGP Punjab said. Sources said that one of the accused Paramjit Singh Pamma, was shot in the leg by the police and was admitted to the government hospital in Barnala on Monday night for treatment.
At the hospital, the accused Pamma Lakhriwala was treated in the emergency ward of the hospital. The accused Paramjit Pamma was brought to the hospital by the police of Barnala police station. An official said that a case of murder has been registered against four accused Kabaddi players Paramjit Singh Pamma Lakhkriwala, Jagraj Singh Raja Raisar, Gurmeet Singh Cheema and Wazir Singh Amala Singh Wala.
The accused Kabaddi players had a fight over the bill in a restaurant late on Sunday night. When the police of Barnala City police station went to the spot, the accused Kabaddi players clashed with the police and during this clash the accused beat and injured Hauldar Darshan Singh and he died after at the hospital.
