New Delhi: A petition was recently filed in the Supreme Court to speed up investigation by the CBI in the coal allocation case.
The application stated that a proper report has not been submitted yet regarding the case. Also a lot of time has gone by since the last questioning took place on the case.
The petition also read that the CBI has no reason behind concluding the investigation on this matter.
It asks the SC to direct the CBI in conclude the report sooner.
The application also sought the CBI to present the entire file noting in the case registered on March 26,2014 in order to ascertain reason behind delay in the case.
The petition has been filed by Vaibhav Varma.
It is mentioned in the application that Central Collieries was awarded the Takli-Jena-Bellora coal field in Maharashtra in 1998, even before its registration and Patnaik was the Minister of Mines at the time.
