Hitting out at Modi, O'Brien drew parallel with the Dr Manmohan Singh and HD Deve Gowda who were present in the house during the voting and said that both the Prime Ministers were present during their tenure when the bills were being passed. However, Prime Minister's absence during the 127th Amendment Bill was a matter of concern.

In a second video released on social media, the MP pointed out that the Union ministers failed to offer him any answers even 24 hours after he raised the questions and that is why now he is asking the Prime Minister to come up with the answers.

"It has been 24 hours since I asked eight direct questions on Parliament to the ministers. They haven't answered any of the eight questions. I am not surprised, because they don't have the answers," he said.

The Trinamool MP also said that the Prime Minister is mocking the Parliament and ignoring the House.

"You and your government are accountable to the people, accountable to people's representatives, you are accountable to the parliament. It is your duty to answer us now," he added.

Earlier on Thursday, when eight Union Ministers held a press conference and supported the Centre on the proceedings of the House after the ruckus incident, Trinamool Rajya Sabha MP Derek O'Brien in a video had posed a set of questions to them.
