Bengaluru (Karnataka): Covid-19 norms were violated during the Jan Ashirwad Yatra, a series of roadshows across the State, undertaken by Union ministers A Narayanaswamy in his home town Anekal along the Bangalore-Hosur National Highway.

Covid protocols were thrown to the wind as a large number of people who attended these events neither ensured social distancing nor wore masks.

The people gathered to see the minister without wearing a mask and maintaining a social gap. Union ministers in the procession were also seen without wearing masks.

Earlier also, police in Maharashtra registered an FIR against the organisers of an event during the 'Jan Ashirwad Yatra' of Union minister Kapil Patil for alleged violation of COVID-19 norms. As part of tours by some newly-inducted Union Ministers in different parts of Maharashtra to reach out to people, MoS for Panchayati Raj and Bhiwandi MP Kapil Patil on Monday joined the yatra in Thane where hundreds of BJP activists welcomed him, while members of the Agri and Koli communities danced and sang songs.
