కొంతకాలంగా టీమిండియా మాజీ సారథి ధోనీ క్రికెట్​ భవితవ్యం చర్చనీయాంశంగా మారింది. తాజాగా దీనిపై స్పందించాడు బీసీసీఐ అధ్యక్షుడు సౌరభ్​ గంగూలీ. మహీ కెరీర్​ విషయంలో యాజమాన్యానికిి కచ్చితమైన అవగాహన ఉన్నట్లు స్పష్టం చేశాడు దాదా.

భారత మాజీ కెప్టెన్ మహేంద్రసింగ్ ధోనీ క్రికెట్ భవితవ్యం ఇప్పటికీ ప్రశ్నార్థకంగానే మిగిలింది. ఐసీసీ క్రికెట్ వరల్డ్​కప్ తర్వాత ఏ సిరీస్‌కు ధోనీ అందుబాటులో లేడు. తాజాగా ప్రకటించిన విండీస్​తో సిరీస్​లోను ఈ స్టార్​ ప్లేయర్​కు చోటు దక్కలేదు. అయితే తాజాగా బీసీసీఐ అధ్య క్షుడు గంగూలీ ఈ విషయంపై స్పందించాడు. ధోనీ కెరీర్​పై పూర్తి స్పష్టత ఉందని అన్నాడు.

" ధోనీ భవితవ్యం గురించి పూర్తి స్పష్టత ఉంది. కానీ ఆ విషయాలను బహిరంగ వేదికపై వెల్లడించలేం. భవిష్యత్తులో మీకే తెలుస్తుంది. బోర్డు, ధోనీ, సెలక్టర్ల మధ్య చాలా స్పష్టత ఉంది. ధోనీ భారత్‌కు అద్భుతమైన ఆటగాడు. అతడి భవిష్యత్తుపై నిర్ణయాలు గోప్యంగానే ఉంటాయి. అవి ఎంతో పారదర్శకంగా ఉంటాయి".

2020 ఐపీఎల్‌ తర్వాతే ధోనీ తన భవిష్యత్తుపై నిర్ణయాలు తీసుకుంటాడని అతడి సన్నిహిత వర్గాలు ఇటీవలే వెల్లడించాయి. టీమిండియా కోచ్‌ రవిశాస్త్రి కూడా ధోనీపై ఆసక్తికర వ్యాఖ్యలు చేశాడు. వచ్చే ఐపీఎల్‌లో ఎలా ఆడతాడనే దానిపైనే ధోనీ భవిష్యత్తు ఆధారపడి ఉంటుందని అన్నాడు.

ఈ ఏడాది ప్రపంచకప్‌ సెమీస్‌ అనంతరం ధోనీ క్రికెట్‌కు తాత్కాలిక విరామం ప్రకటించాడు. భారత ఆర్మీకి సేవలందించాలనే ఉద్దేశంతో అతడు వెస్టిండీస్ పర్యటనకు దూరమయ్యాడు. ఆ తర్వాత స్వదేశంలో జరిగిన దక్షిణాఫ్రికా, బంగ్లాదేశ్‌ సిరీస్​లకు అందుబాటులో లేడు. డిసెంబర్‌లో వెస్టిండీస్‌తో జరగనున్న వన్డే, టీ20 సిరీస్​కూ దూరమయ్యాడు. అయితే తాజాగా మళ్లీ ప్రాక్టీస్ మొదలుపెట్టి అభిమానుల్లో ఆసక్తిని పెంచాడు.

And the police officers put themselves in harms way to try to protect public, as did other members of the public. And I think we have to show respect to all of those. But it's also about an attack on all of us. And today we've suspended all Labour party campaigning in London for the rest of the day as soon as it became apparent how enormous this attack is. But we have to remember that we live in democratic society and those who would seek to silence it will not succeed. Our democracy must be alive and vibrant. And in memory of those who have died today as a result of this awful attack, I think we have to ensure we build a society of communities coming together, of respect for each other and that our democratic way of life must always be protected."
STORYLINE:
UK Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn said Friday's London Bridge stabbing that left two people dead was "an attack on all of us."
Speaking from Cardiff, the British opposition leader expressed his shock and sorrow at Friday’s attack on London Bridge.
“We will not be cowed by those who threaten us,” Corbyn said.  
Both Labour and the Conservatives suspended campaigning in the city after the attack, and Prime Minister Boris Johnson also cancelled Saturday's political events.
