Kerala man spruce up garden with eggshells

Idukki: One would be spellbound while passing through Nedumkandam-Illippalam stretch on the State Highway connecting Kumali and Munnar. Fluttering screw pine plants with white shells at the end would urge you to stop and glance. The white shells are nothing but a creative experiment of Padinjarepparambil Shibu. He collects thousands of eggshells every day from the bakery he works in, to adore his plants. Shibu has been indulged in decorating his plants with eggshells for over 10 years. The eggshells will lose its colour and sheen within two weeks. His family assists him in maintaining the garden.
