Uttarakhand: Ancient stairs found in Har ki Pauri

Haridwar(Uttarakhand): A centuries-old ancient stairs found at Har ki Pauri during the ongoing renovation work for upcoming Kumbh Mela 2021.

The stairs are engraved with the ancient language scripts.

Several projects and preparations are underway for Kumbh scheduled to commence in 2021 in the religious city Haridwar, but due to the lockdown, the pace of the work slowed down.

The ancient staircase that emerged during the excavation at Har ki Pauri remains a matter of discussion. These stairs are engraved with an ancient language which is beyond comprehension.

On Tuesday morning, repair work was in full swing from Harki Pauri to Brahmakund, during the digging of old stairs, some more old stairs were found out on which ancient language was inscribed.

Officials of Shri Ganga Sabha reached the spot and halted the work going on near these tracks and called the officials of the Archaeological Survey of India.

General Secretary of Shri Ganga Sabha Tanmay Vashisht said that even the present stairs on Har ki Pauri are 100 to 150 years old. Now, after the emergence of these more ancient stairs, they will inform the Archaeological Survey of India officials to identify it.
