Meerut: A man was killed by his elder brother allegedly over a land dispute in the Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday.
The incident took place at Sholda village under Pichor police station limits when the accused Sanjay killed his younger brother, police said.
The deceased, Rahul died on the spot, police added.
The reason behind the incident is said that Sanjay didn't like the partition made by her mother over the property which leads to a heated argument between the two over which Sanjay killed his brother.
Police reached the spot after informed by the villagers and a case has been registered against the accused.
According to the police, Sanjay is absconding and a search for him is on.
