IFFCO is one of the largest companies in the country making urea. The cause of the gas leakage incident is yet to be known. Giving information, the PRO of IFFCO identified two dead as Assistant Manager BP Singh and Deputy Manager Abhinandan.

Prayagraj: Two persons have died and around 15 people's condition deteriorated in a gas leakage at IFFCO (Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited) plant in Phoolpur, said Prayagraj DM Bhanu Chandra Goswami on Wednesday.

"A plant unit has been closed and the gas leakage has stopped now. The situation is under control," Goswami informed.

Giving information, the PRO of IFFCO identified two dead as Assistant Manager BP Singh and Deputy Manager Abhinandan.

Further the victims have been admitted to various hospitals for treatment.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed grief over the incident and has instructed officials to carry out relief work expeditiously.

He has further ordered to investigate the cause of the incident.
