Jaipur: Former Rajasthan Congress president and Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot on Wednesday joined a demonstration organised by the Mahila Congress against the hike in petrol and diesel prices in Jaipur. Pilot lashed out at the centre saying that the spike in price of fuel and LPG is an attack on the poor man's pocket. The protest against price hike will continue for next 10 days and will force the central government to roll back the prices of petrol, diesel and gas, he said.

Speaking to ETV Bharat on the sidelines of the protest, Pilot said he has nothing to add what senior Congress leader Ajay Maken has already said yesterday on the issues related to political appointments and cabinet expansion. Maken yesterday said that cabinet expansion and political appointments in Rajasthan will be done keeping everyone in mind.

On his part, Pilot said that the honour and respect of party workers should be protected and Congress is working on it. He said that Ajay Maken is the responsible person and leaders should have faith on him.

It was expected that Maken would meet Sachin Pilot today, but after meeting the party officials, he left for the chief minister's house.
