Without wasting time during the nation and state-wide lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic, Uday, a student of Shree Aurobinda Nodal School in Jajpur Town, engaged his skills in translation of ‘Mahabharat’ into Odia language from Hindi.

Speaking to ETV Bharat, Uday said, "I have seen Mahabharata in television many times but in this lockdown period, I started translating the Hindu epic into Odia language. It took one month to translate the entire epic."

"I like Arjuna's character in Mahabharat as he is one of the bravest fighters in the entire epic. I referred Google translator for translating. Mahabharata teaches us a lot. Lord Krishna's advise, Karna's kindness, Yudhisthir's truthfulness and the truth's triumph attracted me a lot," he said.

Notably, at a time when the internet is flooded with various tips for little children during the lockdown, a 12-year-old boy won hearts of many for translating a popular Hindu epic during the pandemic.
