Chandigarh/Gurugram : The dead body of former model Divya Pahuja, who was shot dead in a Gurugram hotel, has finally been recovered from a canal in Tohana in Haryana's Fatehabad district. The body was recovered from the canal. The deceased was identified as Divya by the tattoo on her body.
Gurgaon Police arrested Balraj Gill, who was accused of disposing of the dead body in a BMW car, from Kolkata and taken him on transit remand. Besides, the police have also arrested a person named Pravesh who supplied weapons to Abhijeet, police said.
Both the accused Balraj Gill and Ravi Banga had reached Howrah in West Bengal together, police said. After this, both of them separated from Howrah and the police tracked down and arrested Balraj Gill. After the arrest of accused Balraj Gill and the discovery of Divya Pahuja's dead body, the police held a press conference and gave details about the famous model Divya Pahuja murder case.
After arresting the accused Balraj Gill in Kolkata, he was interrogated during transit remand by the Gurugram police. He revealed about Divya Pahuja's dead body being disposed off in the canal. After this the police started searching for Divya's body from Patiala. Divya's dead body was searched for about 150 kilometers with the help of divers, and then the body was found in Tohana. According to the police, marks of a bullet injury were found on the head of Divya Pahuja's body. The dead body has been sent for post-mortem.
Weapon supplier arrested: ACP Crime Varun Dahiya, while giving information in the press conference, said that in this case, Abhijeet was very fond of weapons. The police have also arrested the person named Pravesh, who supplied weapons to Abhijeet. Police have also recovered illegal weapons and cartridges from the possession of the accused.
Accused Balraj told during police interrogation that he had reached Bhiwani by bus after disposing the body in Patiala. From there he traveled via public transport to many places including Jaipur, Udaipur and then reached West Bengal. But the police finally caught him. According to ACP, the investigation of the case is still going on. Accused Balraj Gill will be produced in the court in Gurgaon and will be taken on remand. There are many mysteries to be solved during the interrogation. At the same time, the police is now raiding various places to arrest Ravi Banga.
