SS Rajamouli's RRR

Ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli's much-anticipated film after Baahubali, titled RRR is reportedly pushed towards early 2021. The film stars Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead roles.

Mumbai: Ever since South filmmaker SS Rajamouli announced his next project RRR, fans have been holding breaths to witness yet another masterpiece from the ace storyteller who helmed the epic Baahubali franchise.

RRR which was slated to release on July 30, 2020 release has reportedly delayed to January 2021 for Pongal. The reason is said to be the packed schedule of the star cast including Tollywood stars Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Bollywood stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn.

According to a close source, the dates of the stars are not easy to be synchronized as they have their prior commitments to fulfil. In addition to the issue of the dates, reports also suggest that the filmmaker has decided to add more action sequences to the film, which will take more time.

A leading source said that Rajamouli aims to have very hi-tech stunts in the film, better than what the fans saw in Baahubali. Hence, he wants to take time to get the best out of action scenes.

RRR will be a fictional story set in 1920s pre-independent era and it will be based on a few years in the lives of two real heroes and well-known revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem.

While Jr. NTR will be seen as Komaram Bheem, Ram Charan will be playing Alluri Sitharama Raju. The film also stars Samuthirakani in a crucial role.

Made on a huge budget of over Rs 300 crores, RRR is produced under the DVV Entertainments banner by DVV Danayya. The film will release in 10 Indian languages worldwide.
