Congress leader Sachin Pilot has returned to Rajasthan without meeting the party high command, amid reports that the Pilot camp is unhappy over their issues not being resolved.

New Delhi: Amid the ongoing tussle in Rajasthan Congress, Sachin Pilot seems to be at the losing end. If sources are to be believed, Pilot might face disappointment yet again as the party is not ready to accept his demand in the current scenario. Ahead of the cabinet reshuffle in Rajasthan, while Pilot was demanding 5-6 ministerial posts for his loyalist MLAs, the party has offered him 3 posts in the cabinet. He is also being assured that his MLAs will get a proper representation in the corporation/board. The party is arguing that there are 6 BSP MLAs and a dozen independent MLAs, who have to be allocated ministerial berths.

Meanwhile, the 6 BSP MLAs have already gone public alleging injustice to them amid the ongoing political turmoil in the state. Those MLAs allege that the Sachin Pilot camp is building pressure on the party high command to get ministerial posts despite having to go against the party. They have also said that although they stood with the Ashok Gehlot government in a time of crisis, "injustice" is being done to them. The Sachin Pilot camp has been consistently demanding the party to fulfill its promises which were being made to them last year on the condition of ending their rebellion against the state government. They have also questioned that not even a single meeting of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) formed to resolve this feud, was held in the last one year.

On the other hand, the party is arguing that the situation has changed as compared to last year and it would be difficult to meet the demands of the Pilot camp. Sources informed that Pilot's supporters can be accommodated, but no numbers have been fixed till now. However, after the exit of Jitin Prasada, the party cannot afford to lose another young Turk and therefore is making all efforts to strike a balance between both the camps of Pilot and Gehlot. Congress' General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi is in regular touch with Pilot to set up coordination between him and the party.

After camping for 6 days in New Delhi, Sachin Pilot had returned to Rajasthan, on Wednesday, without meeting Congress High command. Also, some of the Pilot supporters have begun to side with Ashok Gehlot. Therefore, somehow Pilot is failing to create pressure upon the party.
