Mahabodhi temple committee issues guidelines amid coronavirus threat

Devotees have been asked to maintain a distance of one meter between each other at Mahabodhi Temple in Bihar's Gaya on Thursday. Also, the thermal screening of foreign tourists and devotees is being done at the checking point at the entrance of the temple.

When the world is in a panic due to Coronavirus, people all around are finding ways to deal with it. Somewhere people are doing havan-puja or praying to God to save them from the havoc of Coronavirus.

But in the meantime, the situation has become such that in many temples this virus has increased the distance between God and devotees

Gaya: The outbreak of Coronavirus has not only alienated humans from each other but also God, due to which many temples across the country have been closed, the effect of the Coronavirus can also be seen in the court of God.

Flex boards have been installed in Hindi and English on the orders of the District Magistrate in the Mahabodhi Temple complex, a holy pilgrimage site for Buddhist people.

Devotee from Prayagraj, Vidhakant Pandey said, "I feel good that people are trying to prevent the Coronavirus from spreading. The initiatives taken by the committee are something that will help everyone to stay safe."

Thermal screening at the checking point

At the same time, the thermal screening of foreign tourists and devotees is being done at the checking point at the entrance of Mahabodhi Temple.

Bihar Police jawan Sonu, who is doing the thermal screening, claimed that the work of thermal screening has started from Monday. If any suspect is found, he will be immediately sent to the Community Health Center. About five thousand people are being screened every day, he added.

Steps taken to prevent Coronavirus

BTMC Secretary NG Dorji said that people from all over the world come to the temple premises. Coronavirus is spread around the world. To protect it, as well as to make people aware, an appeal has been made to the devotees to keep a distance of one meter from each other.
