Jamshedpur: The Jharkhand Police on Saturday took swift action against fruit sellers in Jamshedpur after they illustrated banners declaring their shops as being 'approved' by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad.

Jharkhand Police was alerted by a twitter user who in a tweet posted a couple of photos in which the fruit sellers were seen displaying huge banners that read, “Hindu Fruit Shop approved by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad.”

The user wrote, “It’s a matter of great shame to our state that we are going up in such Hindu Muslim hatred."

Later, the Jamshedpur Police tweeted pictures of the same fruit shops banner and wrote, “The banners have been removed and cases have been filed against those shopkeepers under Section 107 of the IPC.”
