నాకు మానసిక రుగ్మత ఉందని చెప్పింది ఆవిడే..!

ఆస్ట్రేలియా ఆల్​రౌండర్​​ గ్లెన్​ మ్యాక్స్​వెల్​ ఓ వ్యక్తిగత విషయాన్ని అభిమానులతో పంచుకున్నాడు. అతడు మానసిక సంబంధమైన సమస్యతో బాధపడినట్లు చెప్పుకొచ్చాడు. ఈ కారణంగానే అక్టోబర్​లో కొంత కాలం ఆటకు విరామం తీసుకున్నట్లు స్పష్టం చేశాడు.

ఆస్ట్రేలియాకు చెందిన స్టార్​ క్రికెటర్​ గ్లెన్​ మ్యాక్స్​వెల్​.. ఇటీవల కాలంలో కొన్ని రోజులు క్రికెట్​కు దూరంగా ఉన్నాడు. ఆ తర్వాత మళ్లీ మ్యాచ్​లు ఆడేందుకు సన్నద్ధమయ్యాడు. అయితే ఆటకు ఎందుకు తాత్కాలిక విరామం ఇవ్వాల్సి వచ్చిందో తాజాగా వెల్లడించాడు.

"కొన్ని రోజుల విశ్రాంతి తర్వాత నేను స్వింగ్‌లోకి వచ్చేశా. దాదుపు నాలుగైదు ఏళ్లుగా ఖాళీ లేకుండా అన్ని ప్రాంతాలు తిరిగా. ఇందువల్లే మానసికంగా, శారీరకంగా చాలా అలసిపోయి సమస్యలు ఎదుర్కొన్నా. చాలా ఇబ్బందిగా అనిపించేది. అందువల్లే దేనిపైనా దృష్టి పెట్టలేకపోయా. అలాంటి సమయంలో నా సమస్యను గుర్తించిన వ్యక్తి నా భాగస్వామి​. విశ్రాంతి తీసుకోమని నాకు సలహా ఇచ్చింది. రెండు నెలలు తాత్కాలికంగా ఆటకు సెలవు పెట్టా. ప్రస్తుతం భుజాలపై నుంచి భారం దిగినట్లు ఉంది. నా సమస్యను అర్థం చేసుకుని విరామాన్ని ఇచ్చిన క్రికెట్‌ ఆస్ట్రేలియాకు ధన్యవాదాలు"

మ్యాక్స్‌వెల్‌ భాగస్వామి ఆస్ట్రేలియాలో స్థిరపడ్డ భారతీయ కుటుంబానికి చెందిన విని రామన్‌ అని తెలుస్తోంది. ఈ పేరును మ్యాక్స్​ వెల్లడించకపోయినా ఆమెతో గత కొన్నేళ్లుగా డేటింగ్‌ చేస్తున్నట్లు వార్తలు వస్తున్నాయి. ఒకవేళ మ్యాక్స్​వెల్​, విని రామన్ ఒక్కటైతే భారత అమ్మాయిని పెళ్లాడిన రెండో ఆసీస్ క్రికెటర్​గా మ్యాక్సీ నిలవనున్నాడు. ఇంతకు ముందు షాన్​ టైట్ భారత యువతినే పెళ్లాడాడు. 2014 ఐపీఎల్ సమయంలో మాషుమ్ సింఘాను కలిసిన టైట్ అనంతరం ఆమెను వివాహం చేసుకున్నాడు.

విని రామన్​తో మ్యాక్స్​వెల్​

ఇటీవల విక్టోరియా ప్రీమియర్​ క్రికెట్ లీగ్​ ద్వారా మళ్లీ రీఎంట్రీ ఇచ్చాడు మ్యాక్స్​వెల్. త్వరలో ఆరంభం కానున్న బిగ్‌బాష్‌ లీగ్‌(బీబీఎల్‌)లో మెల్‌బోర్న్‌ స్టార్స్‌కు సారథ్యం వహించేందుకు సిద్ధమవుతున్నాడు మ్యాక్స్​. ఐపీఎల్​ వేలంలోనూ పాల్గొనేందుకు పేరు నమోదు చేసుకున్నాడు.

"Racism is infecting our politics. Terrifyingly, it has now become mainstream. A Labour Party mired in anti-Semitism; complaints unresolved; the Jewish community fearful. It took Labour months to expel a member who wrote about gassing Jews - months. When Alistair Campbell voted Lib Dem, they kicked him out in two days. Brexit Party representatives filmed talking about being "out bred" by Muslims and revelling in a story about plans to encase a pig's head in concrete in the foundations of a mosque. Watching that footage, I felt sick. Yet this is the party that has handed Boris Johnson the keys to Number 10. The Conservatives are failing on Islamophobia and the prime minister willingly received the endorsement of Tommy Robinson, Britain's biggest racist. So, many people will look at the last few weeks at these results and be filled with dread about the future of our country. I understand. I'm worried, too. This goes beyond our future relationship with the European Union. It's about our relationships with one another in the United Kingdom. Do we value every individual for who they are? Are we an open, welcoming, inclusive society? I still believe we are at heart, or at least that we can be. But there are many forces that seek to divide us, to allow resentment and fear to fester. And if we want to be that open minded, warm hearted society, we need to stand up, join together and fight for it."

STORYLINE:
The former leader of Britain's centrist Liberal Democrats on Friday hit out at alleged racism which she said was "infecting British politics."
Jo Swinson was speaking in London after stepping down following the loss of her constituency seat in the country's General Election.
Her party suffered disappointing results, winning only about a dozen of the 650 seats in Parliament.
In her speech Swinson referenced alleged anti-Semitism in the Labour Party.
Its leader Jeremy Corbyn, who announced Friday he would be standing down in the new year, came under repeated criticism for failing to tackle the problem.
"It took Labour months to expel a member who wrote about gassing Jews, months," she said.
The former Lib Dem leader also mentioned claims of racism by Brexit Party members, who during campaigning, had been secretly filmed using racist language.
She also accused the Conservatives, who won a steep majority in the election, of failing to tackle Islamophobia in their party.
"If we want to be that open minded, warm hearted society, we need to stand up, join together and fight for it," Swinson said.
The Liberal Democrats say lawmakers Ed Davey and Sal Brinton, a Liberal Democrat in the House of Lords, would become joint chiefs of the party until a leadership contest is held next year.
