Hyderabad: National Award-winning Tamil star Dhanush has come onboard for known Telugu director Sekhar Kammula for an upcoming pan-India film. The trilingual film is being bankrolled by Narayan Das Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under their banner Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP. Interestingly, the film will mark the Telugu debut of Dhanush likewise Sekhar will also be foraying into Tamil cinema.
According to reports, the makers are in process of casting some big names for pivotal roles while the technical team is almost in place. The untitled film is likely to go on floors later this year.

Meanwhile, Dhanush's latest film Jagame Thandhiram released on Netflix on June 18. The Tamil action thriller is about a clever gangster who is hired by a crime lord to take down a dangerous rival. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the film also features Aishwarya Lekshmi, Kalaiyarasan and Joju George in pivotal roles, and marks the Indian debut of Scottish actor James Cosmo.
For Sekhar, coming up next is Telugu film Love Story, starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi. The film is ready to release but the makers are holding the film's release for the second wave of COVID-19 to subside and theaters to reopen as they want the film to have a theatrical release.
