A video of the landslide went viral on the Internet. On Thursday, around 400 pilgrims from Rajasthan were stuck in Uttarakhand's Uttarkashi district due to landslides. No casualty has been reported.

Dehradun: The Tawaghat-Lipulekh National Highway was on Saturday closed for traffic after a large part of a hill collapsed near Najang Tamba village late Friday evening. Due to the closure of Adi Kailash Mansarovar Yatra route which goes via Najang Tamba village, 40 passengers along with locals were stuck as per reports.

A video of the landslide went viral on the Internet. On Thursday, around 400 pilgrims from Rajasthan were stuck in Uttarakhand's Uttarkashi district due to landslides. No casualty has been reported. About 400 passengers from Rajasthan's Bhilwara, Ajmer and other places were returning from Gangotri Dham when they got trapped due to a landslide near Gabnani in Uttarkashi, an official said.

State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) Commandant Rajkumar Gupta said pilgrims from Rajasthan were reported stranded on Thursday night. The senior official said after talking to the local administration there, passengers were taken to safer places and arrangements for lodging and food were made for them.
