An apartment owner in Saket Nagar of Varanasi allegedly hid the identity of a Chinese woman residing in his apartment. The local police were informed about her stay and later on, the medical team was called up for the health diagnosis.

New Delhi: A Chinese woman was allegedly hiding her identity and was living in Saket Nagar of Varanasi.

She was residing in an apartment in Lanka thana area since March 21.

The apartment owner did not fill up form C in the foreign registration office.

Reportedly, the apartment owner informed the locals that the woman is a Manipuri.

Lanka Inspector Bharat Bhushan Tiwari said: "The Chinese woman visa has expired and she has applied for the same. Meanwhile, Janata Curfew was announced by PM Modi and later on, the nationwide lockdown was announced. The woman was stuck in India due to Lockdown. The woman self quarantined herself from 21 March."

The police informed the Chief Minister office about the woman's stay in Saket Nagar. A medical team has been called up for the health diagnosis of the woman.
