Shiv Sena MLA threatens to 'kill' Narayan Rane

Shiv Sena MLA Santhosh Bangar reportedly threatened Narayan Rane saying that he himself will go to Rane's house and kill him.

Hingoli: Union Minister Narayan Rane's 'slap Uddhav' remark has stirred protests across Maharashtra. As outrageous protests continue in Hingoli district, Shiv Sena MLA and district chief Santhosh Bangar reportedly threatened Rane. In a scathing remark, he said, "Just remove the police protection, I'll myself go to Narayan Rane's house and kill him."

Bangar's statement has aggravated the Bharatiya Janata Party members and further embroilment is speculated.

Protest in Hingoli district against Rane's remarks

Protests in the district took a different turn as a dog was placed over 'Rane's effigy', as per sources. Different parts of Hingoli district witnessed protests by Shiv Sena members demanding stern action against Rane.

The Nashik Police have sent a notice to Rane in connection with the FIR registered against him over his remarks. Rane has been asked to appear at the police station on September 2.

The Union Minister, who was granted bail by the magistrate court in Mahad in Raigad district of Maharashtra hours after his arrest over his comment on slapping Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray, reached his Juhu residence on Wednesday morning.

According to sources, the Union minister will move an application later today in the Bombay High Court for quashing of FIRs against him. A team of lawyers had visited Rane at his residence in connection with this.

The 69-year-old parliamentarian claimed that CM Thackeray forgot the year of independence during his Independence day address and had to check with his aide in the middle of his speech. The controversial remark was made by Rane during a public meeting on August 23 during "Jan Aashirwad Yatra".
