NCP’s spokesman and state minorities minister Nawab Malik told media after the meeting that mainly the discussion was held around how the party can be made strong on a local level. When asked about the ongoing Gram panchayat elections, Malik said that these local elections are not fought on the symbol of any political party. In today’s meeting, Pawar also discussed and gave suggestions about preparations for the upcoming corporation and other local bodies elections, Malik informed.
