Sangli: In a shocking incident, female medical aspirants appearing for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance test (NEET) on Sunday were allegedly made to wear their clothes inside out leaving the students uncomfortable in Maharashtra's Sangli. The National Testing Agency (NTS), which conducts the exam did not immediately comment on the matter.
It is learnt that the incident has taken place Kasturba Walchand College in Sangli city where the candidates appeared in the NEET-2023 on Sunday, May 7. Female candidates appearing for the medical entrance test at the college alleged that they staff at the exam centre asked them to wear the clothes inside out as a move against “unfair means” in the exam.

It is learnt that a girl student was found to be wearing a kurta which had some text written on it. It was not known from the staff whether the text amounted to unfair means. The female medical aspirants alleged that they felt uncomfortable with the staff's shocking move asking them to wear the clothes inside out.
Parents of the girls have expressed resentment against the shocking move of the staff. It is learnt that some of the aggrieved parents have filed complaints with the National Testing Agency regarding the incident. A parent whose daughter appeared for the NEET-2023 at the Sangli college on Sunday that when his daughter came out of the centre after finishing the paper at 5:30 pm, they noticed that her clothes were inside out.
When he enquired about it, she said that the staff had asked them to do the same. The parent questioned how the staff could ask the girls to undress and wear the clothes at a public place. In fact, reports said that some of the girls indeed complained that they felt uncomfortable after the staff made them to wear the clothes inside out in public due to lack of private spaces.
