Kollam: One year on, the investigation into Fathima Latheef's suicide case that was handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) by the Centre has reached nowhere, alleges the victim's family.
Latheef, the girl’s father has alleged that the Central investigation agency team has not done justice to the probe and has not even responded to their queries.
"Even after one year of her death, nothing concrete could be known regarding the status of the probe," said victim's father.
Following no response from Central investigative agency, Latheef had written to the CBI director seeking clarity in the probe.
The relatives alleged that even after the CBI took over the investigation in the case, the agency has not even recorded the statements of the family.
They [relatives] alleged that they are in possession of details regarding the teachers who are responsible for her death.

Latheef who believes that his daughter could not commit suicide under any circumstances has now decided to write to the Prime Minister seeking justice, saying that he will fight till last breath.
Fathima Latheef, a native of Kerala's Kollam and a student of the Indian Institutes of Technology Madras (IIT-M) had allegedly taken her own life by hanging from a ceiling fan in her hostel room in December 2019.
It was reported that Fathima who was bright and studious had committed suicide as she got lesser marks in the examination.
She was pursuing an integrated MA program at the institute and was staying at the Sarayu hostel at the campus.
