Bengaluru (Karnataka) : A fight that started between student groups during the college fest turned violent and ended with the gruesome murder of a student. The deceased victim was identified as Bhaskar Jetty, a twenty-two-year-old student of Reva College in the city, who hails from Gujarat. He became the unfortunate victim of the murder during the nighttime celebrations.
Bhaskar, who was studying mechanical engineering, got first involved in a heated argument with a group of students that later escalated into a violent fight late. As the conflict suddenly erupted, the security staff also could not immediately rush to the spot and control the situation. As the clash created a furore among the students, the rival groups continued their physical assaults on one another.
At this time, the opposing group stabbed Bhaskar with a knife, as a result of which he died. Bagalur police station checking the college CCTV has laid a trap to arrest the absconding accused. North East Division DCP (Deputy Commissioner of Police) Lakshmi Prasad informed that during the college program, there was a commotion between the two groups and it all started because of body touch and then turned into a fight.

Then the opposing group stabbed Baskar in his hand and chest. The seriously injured student was immediately admitted to a local hospital. But Baskar died after not responding to the treatment. After the incident, the accused students escaped from the scene. The identity of the accused involved in the case has been found. DCP Lakshmi Prasad said that they will be arrested soon.
