Two former jounalists who are accused in Ramesh Jarkiholi CD case have appeared before the SIT probe on Saturday. They had earlier obtained anticipatory bail from the court but the court had instructed them to appear before the SIT within five days.

Bengaluru: Naresh Gowda and Shravan who are the accused in the Ramesh Jarkiholi CD case attended SIT probe on Saturday. They are alleged to be the culprits in the CD case of former minister Ramesh Jarakiholi. An extortion and blackmail case has been registered against two men in Sadashivanagar Station. The two have been given anticipatory bail by the Sessions Court in the case of extortion and blackmail. However, the court has instructed the accused to appear before the SIT within 5 days.

On the fifth day of the court order, the accused have come to the Adugodi Technical Cell to face the probe. They had appeared before SIT investigator, ACP Dharmendra, along with a lawyer. The accused are apprehensive despite attending trial on bail since the court ordered that if required the investigative team is allowed to arrest the accused. Therefore, the possibility of detention of the accused by SIT cannot be denied.

The SIT will cover all the details including the date of birth of the accused, education, family, hometown, school, their job, working organizations and source of income.
