Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh): Tirumala Tirupathi Devastanams (TTD) is all set ready for the annual Sri Venkateswara Swami Vari Brahmotsavam or Srivari Brahmotsavam event, which will commence from October 7th.

All the preparatory arrangements have been made with the Ankurarpanam on 6th October. Brahmotsavam is the most significant annual festival celebrated at the Venkateswara Temple in Tirumala-Tirupati, Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. The feast lasts for one month. This year the most important celestial fete commences with Dwajawarohanam in the designated Meena Laganam at 5.10 pm on October 7.

During the festival days of Brahmotsavams, Vedic ceremonies will be conducted. Priests and temple staff will participate in chariot drive and conduct ceremonies.

Considering the strength of the chariots that parade the festivities, TTD officials and staff are making the necessary repairs and preparations. Due to the large size of the Suryaprabha chariot, the old silver chariot will be used in that place. The chariot was repaired and experimentally pulled to some distance forward.

TTD has made elaborate arrangements under the instructions and decided to hold Brahmotsavam in solitude this year as well in line with Covid guidelines.
