Anantapur: A man and two women were brutally murdered while they were asleep on Sunday night in Korthikota of Anantapur district in Andhra Pradesh.
The victims were identified as Shivarami Reddy, a temple priest and his sisters, Kamalamma and Satyalakshmi.
According to the police, they were brutally strangled and murdered by unidentified persons in the Shivalayam temple on Sunday around 10 pm.
The locals found the bloodstains of the victims at the temple and reported the matter to the police on Monday morning.
Shivarami Reddy's older sister Kamalama stayed at the temple and cooked for her brother. Wherein his other sister, Satyalakshmi, used to live in Bangalore and had come to visit her brother on Sunday.
Police suspect that they were killed for the hidden treasures.
Kadiri Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Srinivas sent special teams to investigate the location of the incident.
