The Ohio born gymnast bagged her latest gold after she scored 58.999 points to defeat China’s Tang Xijing by 2.1 points. It is also Biles' biggest victory at World Championship in terms of margin in points. Biles' victory also gave the United States seventh win in a row and in the process equaled the old Soviet Union’s record streak in the women’s all-around.

Biles is set to perform in all four events finals (the vault, bars, beam and floor) of the World Gymnast Championship, which will take place this weekend.

When asked about the legacy, Biles told a leading American newspaper, “Every year it feels better and better just because we’re adding to the legacy.

“I feel like I never think of records. I just go out there and do what I came to do, which is competing for the country.”
