Two students of Patna Kilkari have created the Corona Alert Device. This device has been made by Arpit and Abhijeet, who are students of class 10th and 12th respectively.

The alert device which is equipped with sensors can measure the body temperature from a distance of one meter. It is small in size and can be placed in the shirt pocket, it sounds an alarm when the person's body temperature is high, or when he coughs or sneezes.

During the corona crisis, when the lockdown was imposed, people were engaged in some way or the other to fight the deadly pandemic. It was then that we decided to make a corona alert device that can detect the temperature of the people around, says Abhijeet Kumar.

"The cost of devices that come in the market is between 10,000 to 12000 rupees, which cannot be afforded by the common person. But, the price of the device that we have made is currently between 400 to 600 rupees, which the common man can easily support. However, wearing the device will not confirm the presence of coronavirus, but can definitely indicate high temperature," Arpit Kumar said.
