Mandla: This 12-year-old girl's graceful yoga postures have earned her the nickname of 'Rubber girl'.
Molly Singh, a resident of Madhya Pradesh's Mandla, has been practicing yoga for the past four years and has bagged several awards in multiple yoga competitions.
On the occasion of International Yoga day, ETV Bharat talked to the 'Rubber girl' who expressed the importance of yoga in her life.
"I was introduced to yoga by my mother and I have been practicing it for the past 3-4 years," told Molly to ETV Bharat.
Molly who studies in class 6 in Kendriya Vidyalaya Mandla told that she likes to perform yoga asanas amidst nature.
"Earlier, the asanas were difficult for me but as it started becoming a routine, I noticed myself improving," said Molly.
Yoga has brought agility and flexibility in me, which in turn has made me better in sports and dance as well, revealed Molly.
She recently secured the first position in the Regional Yoga competition which was held in Jabalpur.
When asked about her favourite yoga poses, she said that Chakrasana, Eka Pada Rajakapotasana, Dhanurasana are some of the many challenging yoga poses that she likes to perform.
As the world is reeling under the pandemic, Singh pointed out that now is the time one should start indulging in yoga to bring mental stability and improve immunity.
