Approximately 30-years-old deaf and dumb Geeta had accidentally gone to Pakistan some 20 years ago in Lahore express. The Pakistani rangers had found her sitting in Samjhauta Express at Lahore station. On 26th October 2015, she was brought back to India after special efforts by the then minister of external affairs late Sushma Swaraj.

She is now living in with Anand Service Society based at Indore while searching for her biological parents and travelling to Maharashtra and Telangana for the purpose.

Ramesh Solase, a Nasik resident had claimed that Geeta was a kid when her mother had abandoned her in a train at Nasik Road. He had guessed that Geeta may have reached Delhi and Lahore by train.
