Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has won the Gorakhpur Assembly seat with a margin of 1,02,399 votes in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. He defeated the BSP and Samajwadi Party contestants with a huge margin.

A large number of party workers had already gathered at the BJP's party office in Beniganj in Gorakhpur, raising slogans 'Modi-Yogi zindabad' and 'Jai Shri Ram'.

Some of them also burst crackers and took out a march. A lot of people had also gathered at the Hindu Sevashram in Gorakhnath temple.
