J&K: Paralysed youth finds silver lining despite tragedy

Jibran, a 25-year-old youth of South Kashmir's Pulwama, has overcome the tragedy that left him paralyzed for life and found a silver lining for himself.

Paralysed youth finds silver lining despite tragedy

An accident five years ago in Pulwama, made Jibran paralysed for life. Though he lost all hopes for life, the incident changed his life.

Jibran, a resident of Pingalgam village in south Kashmir's Pulwama district, after the accident, became a patient of depression.

He was a BA student at the time. A year after the accident he started making portraits and statues from scrap to divert his mind. He also started calligraphy, which was his favourite.

He soon came into the limelight after people saw his talent and ability.

More importantly, the Ministry of MSME appreciated his work and decided to provide him with a platform. This has made Jibran and his parents feel proud.

Jibran is an example and a torchbearer for those who despite being educated and physically fit, consider themselves as jobless or dependant.
