Six children from Karnataka succeeded in digging a 12 ft long well after they saw hardships faced by their parents to have access to pure water in the wake of COVID-19 crisis.

Belthangady (Karnataka): Out of the scarcity amid coronavirus crisis, six children from Mithabagilu village of Karnataka dug 12ft well within four days to have access to drinking water, a source said on Sunday.

Reportedly, Dhanush, a class nine student saw the hardships faced by his parents in order to obtain pure water. He then along with his other friends, Pushparaj, Prasanna, Gururaj, Shreyas, Bhavaneesh, decide to dig a well near his house.

According to the sources, initially the parents of these young lads thought that they were playing. However, children were successful to get pure water after 10 ft of digging.

On the other hand, the villagers and their parents expressed utmost happiness after seeing children's work.

Karnataka so far has recorded 384 COVID-19 positive cases with 14 fatalities.
