Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh) : It is very rare to see people taking to studies even after retirement. The desire to study continues even after reaching 69 years of age. When the aged Mohanlal Gola reached the examination centre to take NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) in Aligarh on Sunday, it captured the eyeballs of all there. Mohanlal Gola's passion for reading continues even at such an advanced age.
Mohanlal Gola, who lives in Dori Nagar Colony of the Gandhi Park police station area, reached the Radiant Star School to appear for the NEET exam held on Sunday. He successfully passed the NEET exam. When he was asked after leaving school, he told that even in old age a person can study. Mohanlal Gola passed his MA and later became an audit officer. At the same time, after retirement, he passed the intermediate examination in the science stream.
Although Mohanlal Gola is a resident of Dado, a very backward area of Aligarh, he has built his house in Dori Nagar Colony of the Gandhi Park police station area. He said that he has given the NEET exam out of his passion for studies. He will complete 69 years of age in the month of August. Mohanlal has four children, one boy and three girls. He says that his son has become a drug addict.
Mohanlal Gola said that he has done MA in Mathematics. After retirement, he took an interest in science studies. Mohanlal Gola retired as audit officer. Now on the question of studying at this age, Mohanlal Gola said that there are many needs in old age and an understanding of science is required for gathering health information. "I have had the habit of reading since childhood. If I have money in my pocket, I buy books and read them. Half of my house has become a library." Gola said.
