The story of Odia divyang is perfect example of love on V-day

Jajpur (Odisha): Setting an example that disability is not a hindrance in life, a young woman, who had fallen in love with a physically challenged man, has justified her love by tying the knot with him a year ago in Odisha.

Jagannath Sethi, who hails from Jhadagaon village under Chitalo Panchayat in Dasarathpur block of Jajpur district, was born divyang without hands. Since he had no hands, his mother affectionately named him as Jagannath, the name of the famous presiding deity of Puri.

Jagannath alias Jaga grew up with a lot of difficulties but gradually managed to do his own chores with the help of his legs. Though he did not have much education, he started goat farming and took them for grazing in order to maintain himself.

Four years back while he was busy grazing the goats, there was a change in his life. Jaga met one Pratikshya Sahu, a girl from a neighbouring village, who also used to come there for grazing goats.

From that place, their relationship grew and both waited for three years to give a final shape to their love.

Initially, both faced problems as Pratikshya's family had opposed their marriage because they belonged to different castes and the boy was a physically challenged one.

However, their families later finally bowed before their love. After their marriage, according to Pratikhsya's own admission, both the husband and wife are leading a very happy conjugal life.

Expressing her happiness, Pratikshya said,"Four years back we met and while talking to each other, our relationship grew. Initially, my family had opposed for the marriage as we belong to different castes. My husband had been deprived of all assistance from the government. If he will get necessary financial assistance by the government, he would be able to expand his goat farming business."

Both Jaga and Pratikshya with the success of their love affair had conveyed a different meaning to their most valuable relationship.

They have proved love is the culmination of two hearts and when you are in true love, you can fulfil your goal by crossing all odds and boundaries.

The couple has become an example for others and proved as to what depth the true love can be.
