Chennai: Putting an end to the long-drawn suspense over his political entry, Rajinikanth said he will float a political party in January.
On Thursday (December 3) Rajinikanth addressed media in Chennai at Poes Garden house along with Arjun Moorthy (NLC technology Expert) and Tamilaruvi Maniyan (Gandhiya Makkal Iyakkam leader ) who is appointed as a supervisor of Rajini's new political party recently.
"A detailed announcement will be on December 31" he added.
"In that press conference in 2017 December 31s, I said I will launch a party and will contest all 234 assembly seat. Before starting a party I planned to campaign in all the districts to create political revolution among the youngsters. Due to the uncertainty caused by the pandemic I couldn't go by the plan.
We are in need of a political change. If the change doesn't happen today it will never happen again. We have to change everything. I'm just a tool that will bring the change. People have to decide over it. If I win, the victory will belong to people. If I lose, failure will be mine. So people have to support me in this journey," he said.
"Political change and power change will happen. We will change everything," he added.
Earlier Rajini tweeted that, "change, we will change everything, miracle and wonder will happen."
During the press meet Tamilaruvi Maniyan said, " Rajini's political entry would show a path to the nation. Even though he's not well, he's putting in efforts to bring a change in Tamil Nadu. Today is the real Diwali. People will make his dream true."
"It's a great opportunity for me to work with Rajini and Tamilaruvi Maniyan. We are all set to bring a political change," Arjun Moorthy, head coordinator for the new party.
