Bikaner: Fake currency racket busted, four arrested

Bikaner Police nabbed four Bangladeshi residents living illegally in India for fake foreign currency fraud in Rajasthan's Bikaner. Three out of four accused have no valid ID. One has the ID of Kolkata.

Bikaner(Rajasthan): Bikaner Police arrested four Bangladeshi residents living illegally in India.

On 10th October at the Kotegate police station, Shahbaz Khan, a resident of Indra Colony, gave a written report that four youths had cheated him by taking two lakh rupees in the name of foreign currency. Police have registered a case.

SHO, Dharam Poonia said that two accused have been caught by the Kotegate police and two accused by the DST team. However, the gang's leader managed to escape.

Police official told that complainant Shahbaz Khan was sitting in the shop of his friend Anwar Hussain, where the accused identified as SK Saipan, 19-year-old Mohammad Imran, 30-year-old Suhan Khan and 39-year-old Mohammad Ilyas came to buy goods and gave foreign money to Anwar.

The accused gave fake foreign currency on the pretext of giving the currency of 17 Indian rupees for 5 rupees.

According to the information, the accused have collected Rs 25-30 lakh in Bikaner by frauding various people.

SHO said that three out of four accused have no valid ID. One has the ID of Kolkata.

Police suspect that the accused belong to Bangladesh and are illegally staying in India and committing fraud with fake foreign currency notes.

The police have also recovered the Malaysian currency from the accused.
