Mandsaur (Madhya Pradesh): As the entire nation is gearing up for the 71st Republic Day celebration, people will be surprised to know that there is a person in Madhya Pradesh's Mandsaur district whose name is 26 January.
According to sources, the full name of the person is Chabbis Janvary Talor. In English, it is "26th January". 26 January alias Chabbis January, son of Satyanarayan, a retired Head Master of Udaygarh School in Jhabua district and his son 26 January is working as a peon in District Education and Training Institute at Mandsaur.
Sources said that on 26 January 1966, Satyanarayan was going to observe Republic Day at school. Meanwhile, the school peon Bhanwar Singh gave him the news that he has been blessed with a son.
After coming home, he named his son as 26 January. When Chabbis January was going to appear the fifth standard board examination, his teacher offered him to change the name but his father immediately refused to change his son's name.
Currently, 26 January Talor is working as a peon in District Education and Training Institute and he has been working for 22 years. However, due to his strange name, he also becomes a reason for the mockery of people in many places. But he is happy with his name.
26 January said, "As Republic Day is the National celebration, I feel proud of having such name. For this name, people come to me and takes selfies with me. I have a different identity among all and I am happy for that".
"Sometimes I face the mockery of the people just because of my name. Some people do not believe that I have such a name. In such a situation, I show my ID proof to them. I feel proud because not only me or my family but also the whole nation celebrates my birthday," he added.
"26 January is a very humble and sincere person. Like his name, he works with that much sincerity. Every year we celebrate his birthday in the office and we are happy for getting 26 January as our staff," said Dr Pramod Gupta, Principal, District Education, and Training Institute, Mandsaur.
"26 January uncle is a very nice person. Sometimes he works in the night shift in our college. He behaves so politely to everyone. He also cares a lot about the needs of every student of this institute," Shilpi Patidaar, Student.
"He is very friendly in nature and he helps everyone. For all these reasons, he is associated with the entire institution like a family member," said Rajendra Singh Chandrawat, student.
