Bengaluru(Karnataka): The Amruthahalli police of Bengaluru, probing the kidnap and murder of a youth who is the relative of former Karnataka Chief Minister late N Dharam Singh, have arrested an accused and have summoned a victim's stepmother for inquiry.
Indu Chouhan, the second wife of Sidhartha's father Devendar Singh is the mastermind behind this murder case. Siddharth Devendra Singh (28), who had gone missing since January 19 after texting his father that he was leaving for the US, was found dead on January 29. The two contract killers, Shyam, and Vinod had smothered him to death and had buried his body in a forest patch near Raipur of Nellore district in Andhra Pradesh.
After the Investigation, it had revealed that Shyam and Vinod had abducted him from his apartment in Dasarahalli and had murdered him. Based on the call record details, police came to know and immediately took the action to arrest them. But on that Shyam ended his life in Andhra Pradesh by hanging himself before cops arresting him.
However, Police have detained Vinodh and investigated the case. During the time they followed the call records, police came to know the connection between Siddharth's stepmother and contract Killers.
Based on this, Police investigated Siddhartha's stepmother Indu Chouhan. During the investigation, she confessed as given a contract to kill the Siddharth, Police sources said.
