Surat (Gujarat): A man was arrested in Gujarat's Surat for allegedly sexually assaulting his minor daughter in the absence of his wife, police said on Saturday.
The incident took place on Wednesday when the victim's mother went for work and the 7-yera-old girl was alone with her father, police added.

According to police, after the victim's mother came back home she found, her daughter weeping, and when questioned, the latter told her mother about the ordeal.
Following that, the woman filed a complaint at the Varachha Police station and the accused was detained within one hour.
