The condition worsened after the landlord directed Paswan to vacate the house within two days. With Rs 500 left, he asked his daughter Jyoti to buy some ration for the family.

Jyoti decided to buy a bicycle and determined to bring her father to the village.

"I told my daughter that she could not ride the bicycle for 1300 km. But, with her determination, she took me to the village", said Paswan talking to ETV Bharat.

Interestingly, Jyoti has covered the distance of 1,300 km in just 8 days. "I had commenced the journey from Gurugram on May 9 and reached the village on May 17", said Jyoti.

When asked about her courage to cover such an unimaginable journey, she said, "We don't have any money left with us and at that moment, my landlord asked me to vacate the house. I had no option left. If we hadn't covered the 1,300 km journey, we would have died of hunger."

Meanwhile, the Sarpanch of the village has applauded the effort of the brave girl and directed them to stay at the quarantine centre for the next 14 days.
