Tokyo Olympics, Day 10: Athletes to watch out for

Tokyo: On Day 10 of the Tokyo Olympics, PV Sindhu, who suffered a heartbreaking defeat to Chinese Taipei's Tai Tzu Ying in the semifinal on Saturday, will play in the women's singles bronze medal match. On the other hand, boxer Satish Kumar, who suffered a cut in his right eye, will look to confirm his place in the quarterfinal.

Here are the athletes to watch out for:

Satish Kumar - Boxing

Boxer Satish Kumar, India’s first super heavyweight (+91kg) boxer to compete in the Olympics, sailed through to the quarterfinals defeating Jamaica’s Ricardo Brown in his pre-quarterfinal bout on Thursday. In the battle of debutants, the 32-year-old Satish prevailed 4-1, a comfortable win for him despite the split verdict.

Satish will next face Uzbekistan’s Bakhodir Jalolov, the reigning world and Asian champion on Sunday.

PV Sindhu - Badminton

Shuttler PV Sindhu lost the semifinal against Tai Tzu-Ying 18-21, 12-21 in the women's singles in 40 minutes. Sindhu will play China's He Bing Jiao for the bronze medal.

India men's team - Hockey

The Indian men's hockey team on Sunday will face Great Britain in the quarter-finals of the ongoing Tokyo Olympics.

On Friday, India finished second at Pool A, beating Japan 5-3.
